Riff Raff - Neon Icon

By all accounts, Riff Raff really does plan to release Neon Icon, his forever-in-the-works official debut, next month. First single “How To Be The Man” united Riff with radio-rap man-of-the-moment DJ Mustard but somehow didn’t turn him into the next Tyga. Maybe he’ll have better luck with the new single “Kokayne,” produced by Riff’s label boss Diplo. I don’t recognize the fuzzed-out garage-surf guitar lick that Diplo samples for this dance-rap banger, though I probably should. Riff, meanwhile, is in fine random-references-flying-everywhere form, rapping hard about being so coked-up that you can’t see. Listen to the track below.

Neon Icon is out 6/24 on Mad Decent.

  1. This sounds like it could be a Transplants song, but I ain’t even mad.

  2. Who listens to this music? And I’m not being snarky here. I genuinely want to know who thinks this is
worthy of their precious personal time.

  3. The Soundcloud comments for this song are GOLD.

  4. I think this is the riff sampled in the beginning
