JJ 2014 press pic

JJ are really fucking going for it right now. The Swedish conceptual drug-pop duo announced their new album V earlier this month, sharing a striking and cinematic trailer for the LP. And now they’re letting us hear “All White Everything,” the first single, which is easily the grandest and cleanest-sounding thing they’ve ever recorded. “All White Everything” is a gorgeous piano ballad with some tricky drum programming and plaintive and affecting vocal from Elin Kastlander. This is a good one, and you can hear it below.

V is out 8/19 on Sincerely Yours/Secretly Canadian.

  1. Without having heard much jj, this is absolutely gorgeous. Especially around the 3:20 mark when hear voice almost seems to give up.

  2. As someone who’s always preferred their cover album “Kills” over their original music, this song has struck a cord. I’m really diggin’ it. Looking forward to the new LP.
