Ovlov announced today that they have broken up. The Connecticut band was one of the key groups on Exploding In Sound, the label that’s helped introduce us to bands like Krill, Speedy Ortiz, and Two Inch Astronaut. Last month we premiered what now appears to be Ovlov’s last song, “The Great Crocodile.” Read the band’s statement regarding its breakup below.

if you would like to see us play one last time you can catch us at blessed states release show on july 11 in holyoke Ma

we are still playing those shows with basement august 17-20 though i believe they are sold out

For old times sake, here’s “Where My Dini?” the first song we posted by them and one of their very best.

  3. Aw man :( this does indeed suck. I’m seeing Basement in August but unfortunately, Ovlov aren’t on the Chicago dates of the tour, which I was initially bummed about… but now I’m even MORE bummed.
