It’s been a couple weeks since we were last hit with a sugar-coated sucker punch by PC Music, a label that has continued to take any idea you had about the barriers between pop, experimental, and the entire spectrum of electronic music, and blow it to pieces in one great big rainbow-y explosion. The latest comes from French producer Tielsie best known for their jittery remix of Sophie’s “Bipp.” “Palette” begins with glittery synth stabs and pitched-up vocals that carry it toward a sweeping drop, building to the highest possible point of energy, before everything jams up, reverses itself, and shifts into a gorgeous mostly beat-less drone that will just swallow you whole. Listen and download it below.

“Palette” is out for free via PC Music which continues to be my favorite thing to happen to music in 2014.

  1. Tielsie – Hueboy is also a great track. I was floored by it the first time I heard it.
