Jungle - Jungle

The members of the synthy British pop-funk group Jungle like to maintain a certain air of mystery, but their music is slick, streamlined, crowdpleasing festival fare, and really all the better for it. Their singles “Busy Earnin’” and “Time” both have smooth, graceful hooks and fun videos, and their performance on Kimmel was way stronger than I was expecting. Next week, Jungle will release their self-titled debut album, and I would not be surprised if this was one of those low-key hits where you’re still hearing random album tracks in TV commercials eight or nine months from now. And now you can stream the whole thing at iTunes.

Jungle is out 7/15 on XL.

  1. you had me at “synthy British pop”

  2. Loved “Busy Earnin’”, didn’t spend as much time with “Time”, but enjoying it on the album. Such a smooth listen overall. Really solid. Going to be listening to this a lot the rest of the year.
