Glass Ghost – “Triangle” (Stereogum Premiere)

Eliot Krimsky and Michael Johnson have been making music as Glass Ghost since the late 2000s, but they’ve slowed down lately for understandable reasons. Johnson is the drummer for Dirty Projectors these days, and Krimsky spends most of his time working with Here We Go Magic, but this year they’re getting the band back together to release the new album LYFE. “Triangle” is the album’s first single, and just like the old days when you might find Luke Temple or Sharon Van Etten popping up on a Glass Ghost song, this one brings in some friends via fellow Dirty Projector Nat Baldwin, former TEEN member Jane Herships, Brian Betancourt of Hospitality, and elsewhere on the album, longtime collaborator Joan Wasser (of Joan As Police Woman). Despite the large number of collaborators, everything gels to create that same gentle art-pop the band has always done so well. Listen to it below and catch them on August 5 performing at the Lincoln Center Sound + Vision series.

LYFE is out 9/16 via Western Vinyl.
