Julie Doiron Soundtracks Apple’s Parenthood Spot

Apple turned to the Pixies (by way of a children’s choir) to soundtrack one recent iPhone commercial. As MacRumors reports, they’ve enlisted another indie-rock icon, Julie Doiron of Sub Pop noise-pop act Eric’s Trip, for the musical component of their latest iPhone ad. This one is called “Parenthood” and is about, unsurprisingly, parenthood. The song in question is “Life Of Dreams,” the opening track from Doiron’s 2009 release I Can Wonder What You Did With Your Day. Watch below as it adds resonance to scenes of parents using their iPhones to find a lost dog, take a sick kid’s temperatures, reveal that there’s no monster under the bed, and other parental functions.
