Classixx on Kimmel

Last year, the California production duo Classixx released Hanging Gardens, one of those dance albums that doesn’t make a huge impression the first time you hear it but which sticks around, sounding awesome during whatever random moments you happen to throw it on. Someone at Jimmy Kimmel Live must’ve had that experience with the album, since the duo was booked to perform a couple of songs on the show last night. On the show proper, they did the excellent single “All You’re Waiting For,” with LCD Soundsystem/the Juan Maclean singer Nancy Whang joining them. As an online bonus, they also performed their track “A Stranger Love,” this time with Sarah Chernoff singing. Watch both performances below.

Hanging Gardens is out now on Innovative Leisure.

  1. Nice – I liked Hanging Gardens a lot, Classixx deserve more attention.

  2. Seen these guys 3 times this year – really excellent live. Better to catch them at their regular shows than at the festivals though.
