News recently circulated that Lazaretto, Jack White’s new solo album, has sold more vinyl albums in a single year than anything since Pearl Jam’s Vitalogy in 1994. That’s partly because of how White kept hawking the tricked-out vinyl edition at every opportunity, but it probably helps that the album has some really good songs. And it took work to whip those songs into shape. White recently released early, murky acoustic demo versions of the Lazaretto tracks “Alone In My Home” and “Entitlement” as part of a Third Man Vault Series. And while the vinyl version is good and sold out, those versions of the song, which sound pretty great even without the bells and whistles, recently made their way to the internet. Listen below.
