Watch Vic Mensa Cover The White Stripes' "Seven Nation Army" At Lollapalooza

Up-and-coming Chicago rapper Vic Mensa took some time out of his Lollapalooza set to cover the White Stripes’ “Seven Nation Army.” I can’t tell if it’s the sound quality or if he filtered the song through a bunch of noise, but it’s a lot louder and more chaotic than the original and certainly managed to get the crowd jumping around. Watch the performance below.

  1. Cage the Elephant did the riff to Seven Nation Army, although they did not do the whole song, at Lollapalooza

  2. Check out one Artist doing another Artist’s song or Coming Out during another Artist’s set instead of anything substantial by the budding Artist you barely even know yet. Festivals!!!!

The Vitamin Water-ification of live music coverage.

  3. I saw a Billy Joel cover band do a ska-lite version of “Seven Nation Army” at Summerfest in Milwaukee this summer. I was confused by it.
