Watch St. Vincent Play 8G Bandleader, Strand Of Oaks Perform On Seth Meyers

As previously mentioned, St. Vincent is subbing for Fred Armisen as band leader on Late Night With Seth Meyers for last night and tonight. She didn’t have much to do yesterday, though Seth did ask her about her performance in front of 15,000 people in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park over the weekend and she was characteristically humble about it — “I did that,” she replied with a smile. You can also see her right before and after each commercial break, if you’re so inclined to watch (or skip around). The musical guest last night was Strand Of Oaks and Timothy Showalter gave an intense performance of “Shut In” from his latest album HEAL. Watch both artists below.

The whole episode is embedded below — Annie Clark’s introduction starts at 7:15.

  1. Seth Meyers’ monologue… so painful… who saw him on Weekend Update and thought “a whole show of this would be awesome!” only thing he did right was plug Annie’s album. make that paper, girl!

  2. That mix on Strand of Oaks is a little wonky. Too much piano, wheres the guitar? Good song though, and that album is pretty dang sick.
