Cold Specks - Neuroplasticity

Back when we premiered the “Absisto” video, we mentioned that the new Cold Specks album Neuroplasticity features a couple songs with Swans leader Michael Gira. One of them is “Exit Plan,” on which Gira’s creeping baritone undergirds Al Spx’s soulful intonations about love, grace, and death. “Death is swallowed up in victory,” she sings, quoting 1 Corinthians amidst warmly churning guitars and eerie chiming bells. Then things take a turn for the intense when some serious percussion enters the mix along with Gira’s haunting vocals. It’s awesome; listen below.

Neuroplasticity is out 8/26 on Mute. Pre-order in vinyl, CD, and MP3 formats.
