Aphex Twin’s Syro Box Set Looks Cool

Syro 4

Aphex Twin’s forthcoming album Syro is the man’s first proper studio effort in 13 years, and it’s getting an appropriately grand rollout from its label Warp. The Designers Republic, frequent Warp collaborators, have put together the jarringly info-heavy, text-based cover art for the album, and it reminds me of the subversive tricks that Factory Records used to pull with their packaging. There will also be an extremely limited triple-LP vinyl box-set version of the album, also designed by the Designers Republic, and it looks awesome. That version of the album is limited to 200 copies, and it runs £250 (about $411). In it, all the records come on perspex vinyl, with a debossed bonus track and shots of the vinyl pucks used to press the album. And it just looks pretty, you know? Check out some more photos of the set below.
