Mac DeMarco is no stranger to messing with people. When I saw him perform a couple weeks ago at FYF Fest, he introduced one of his most popular songs, “Blue Boy,” as “Big Big Big Dirty Diaper.” He’s also no stranger to covers, as his recent acoustic cover of Angel Olsen’s “Lights Out” reminds us. Now he’s introduced his new guitarist, Andrew Charles White, with this strange and funny clip that shows Andy adjusting to life in the Big Apple. The soundtrack provided is inexplicably a cover by DeMarco of Burt Bacharach’s “This Guy’s In Love With You,” which is just as bizarre as when These New Puritans opened their album with a cover of it, albeit for completely different reasons.
