Vanishing Life – “People Running”

Vanishing Life

The former Thursday frontman and current United Nations/No Devotion singer Geoff Rickly founded the Brooklyn label Collect Records, and Texas Is the Reason’s Norman Brannon runs it. But those guys aren’t the only punk rock fixtures involved in the label. Walter Schreifels is a hardcore legend thanks to his time in Gorilla Biscuits, and he’s also led Quicksand and Rival Schools. Now he’s got a new band called Vanishing Life, and they’re about to release their first 7″ on Collect. The band also features …And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead’s Jamie Miller and Autry Fulbright, as well as Rise Against’s Zach Blair. The first song we’ve heard from them is “People Running,” a swaggering fuzz-rock stomp that does what it needs to do in less than two minutes. Listen to it below.

“People Running” b/w “Vanishing Life” is out 10/13 on Collect.
