Soft Fangs is John Lutkevich, a Massachusetts native recording tremendous music in Brooklyn. “Dog Park,” from a five-song cassette EP coming soon on Seagreen, is almost certainly the most beautiful song you’ll hear today. It’s got the feel of mid-period Elliott Smith — the gently cooed downcast vocal, the lo-fi production, the effortless interplay between acoustic fingerpicking and scrappy drums — but it blooms into something more like Sparklehorse, clouds of white noise and melody swelling up around Lutkevich and whisking him away.
