BET has canceled 106 & Park after 14 years on the air. The network announced today that the Total Request Live-style daily variety show and video countdown will air its final episode in December and morph into an online-only production in 2015. The 106 & Park brand will continue to be associated with specials throughout the year such as BET’s New Year’s Eve broadcast 106 & Party. BET’s website describes 106 & Park as “BET’s flagship show” and “the network’s most popular music series of all time.” Bow Wow and Keshia Chante sign off for the last time on 12/19.
R.I.P. to 106 & Park. I will now watch Mystikal's "Shake Ya Ass" video every weekday for 4 months straight in its honor.
