Back in May, Boots released his album WinterSpringSummerFall, a collection of songs that showcase the songwriter in his own light after appearing in Beyoncé’s shadow as the co-producer on her self-titled album. Boots guest starred on Public Radio International’s podcast Sideshow, performing two St. Vincent songs, “Cheerleader” off of 2011’s Strange Mercy and “Prince Johnny” off of this year’s self-titled record.
