I just listened to the Boyfriend song, And I have to say its pretty catchy. Her last album was pretty awesome. So I’ll probably buy this one. To me, her MUSIC is a bit better than Jessicas. Jessica has that county slowish tone that most people don’t like. If it wasnt for Newlyweds I dont think she would be where she is today. But then again, if it wasnt for Jessica, I dont think Ashlee would be where she is today also. But O well. The L.O.V.E song is a little bit ‘poppish’for her. I think the main reason why people “hate” Ashlee Simpson is that she came from pretty much nowhere and blew up the entire music scene. I mean for a debut artist today to sell 3 million copies and debut at #1 is a giant accomplishment. Another problem in her career is that her reality show really showcased all the problems in her life (ie. when she couldn’t reach a certain note) and made her an easy target for the media and “haters”. I think her new material is really “safe” and doesn’t try to venture into anything new…Reminds me of a “Autobiography Pt. 2″. I think that her CD will definately sell and probably debut at #1 here in the States but will lack the legs it did the following weeks.
