The Neutral Milk Hotel reunion tour has been a glorious thing to behold, regardless of how you feel about their no-cameras policy. (And yes, having witnessed the full-band spectacle at Coachella and in Columbus this year, I must sheepishly admit that it was even better than Jeff Mangum’s hair-raising solo gigs; The Edge, however, remains unmoved.) For a while it looked like NMH might keep adding dates forever, but it looks like the tour is finally nearing its end. Today the band announced a series of spring 2015 shows that will be their “last tour for the foreseeable future.” Looks like Neutral Milk’s farewell gig will be 6/11 in Petaluma, California, exactly 20 months after their first comeback show in Baltimore. dear friends we love you but it’s time to say goodbye for the never ending now to announce that spring 2015 will be our last tour for the foreseeable future and so we extend our deepest gratitude to all the beautiful people who came to see us over the last year…..
