Broken Social Scene ringleader Kevin Drew made an album with Andy Kim, the late ’60s/early ’70s Canadian songwriter who was behind songs like “Rock Me Gently” and the Archies’ “Sugar, Sugar.” They’ve just unveiled “Shoot ‘Em Up, Baby,” the first song from their forthcoming collaborative album It’s Decided. It’s a new version of a single that was originally recorded and released by Kim in 1968, and feels very much a part of that era. The new album was produced and written by Kim, Drew, Do Make Say Think’s Ohad Benchetrit, and the Stills’ Dave Hamelin. Listen to the track below.
