Pharrell & Al Gore Announce Another Massive Live Earth Concert To Fight Global Warming

Pharrell is teaming up with Al Gore to put together another Live Earth concert, which is set to take place on June 18th to help fight global warming, according to a report from the Associated Press. The singer announced the news at the World Economic Forum on Wednesday. “We literally are going to have humanity harmonize all at once,” Pharrell said. “[The purpose is] to have a billion voices with one message — to demand climate action now.” It will take place on all seven continents, including Antarctica. The first Live Earth concert took place in 2007, and brought over 150 musical acts to eleven locations around the world. It was broadcasted in over 130 countries and online. A followup concert was set to take place in India the following year, but was cancelled after the 2008 Mumbai bombings. The new concert’s goal is to encourage leaders to adopt a new climate pact at the Paris U.N. meeting next December. Here’s a teaser video for the event:
