Best Coast Announce Major Label Debut Album California Nights

California pop-rock band Best Coast have signed to Capitol’s Harvest Records to release California Nights. According to a tweet announcing the release, Bethany Cosentino and Bobb Bruno are touting California Nights as their third LP because 2013’s Fade Away was considered an EP despite its resemblance to an album. The deal with Harvest also marks this as Best Coast’s major-label debut. Judging from the snippet of the title track in the trailer below, this might be the most dramatic-sounding record in the Best Coast’s discography, so maybe the cries of “it all sounds the same” will finally be put to rest. Check it out.

California Nights is out 5/5 on Harvest. Best Coast also just announced a show at the Echo in LA tomorrow night, 2/19; get tickets here starting at Noon PST. Read our interview with Cosentino.
