The UK producer Jam City is a longtime affiliate of Night Slugs, the futuristic dance music label and crew, and he’s assured himself a spot in heaven already thanks to his production work on Kelela’s great Cut 4 Me. But judging by his latest track, Jam City’s new album Dream A Garden won’t be dance music at all. Instead, it’ll be liquid synthetic dream-pop. The new single “Proud” has no drums at all. Instead, it has sighing vocals and murmuring guitars and weightless little synth-doodles. It is very, very pretty. Listen to it below.
