The 2014 Golden Globe Nominations

The 2014 Golden Globe Nominations

Guys, guys, wake up! Wake up! Guys! The 2014 Golden Globe nominations came! They’re all downstairs and they look beautiful! Wake up! WAKE UP! There certainly are some surprises this year. Most of the awards are being given to teachers and social workers, first of all. And the rest of the award statues are just going to be turned into dog toys and given to dogs with missing limbs? It’s an odd and unexpected choice by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, but one that Hollywood is coming to support with open arms and just kidding, the nominations are all just regular! Just movie and TV people, like normal! OH THANK HEAVENS! There are some “surprises” though. Brooklyn Nine-Nine has a few nominations, which is nuts and very nice for that show. (No New Girl for Best TV Comedy, though!) Monica Potter was nominated for Parenthood, which is 100 years late and very nice for me. And, well, I won’t spoil the rest for you! GO OPEN YOUR HOLLYWOOD TREASURE!
