The Porno Switcheroo Archives: Frozen Movie Theater Porno Blunder

We haven’t had an entry into the Porno Switcheroo Archives in a few months, but any student of the Porno Switcheroo knows that that doesn’t mean embarrassing switcheroos haven’t been happening. No, no, no, no, no. It means only that local news sources haven’t had the resources to report on the many Porno Switcheroos that happen in their towns every day — porn shown rather than a campaign video at the worst moment in a political rally, babysitters misjudging where the children’s tapes are kept, students seeing Butt Genies Vol. 4 after being called to the gym for an assembly on drunk driving. The switcheroos are out there, always, and that is why we do our best to highlight them when they are brought to public attention. These stories need to be told! Today’s is a classic porno instead of a children’s movie switch-up, in front of an audience in Pinellas Park, Florida. From My Fox Tampa Bay:

A Pinellas Park movie theater full of families received an unexpected surprise Friday as they waited for Disney’s newest animated movie to start: a sexually explicit scene that caused some parents to rush their children to the exits.

Lynn Greene of Largo was at the Regal Cinemas Park Place Stadium 16 with her grandchildren when it happened. She said there were some technical difficulties that delayed the start of the movie, so the theater temporarily played another cartoon.

“They put in the filler, it looked like ‘Steamboat Willie,’ the old Mickey Mouse cartoon, and then all of a sudden it goes into this other scene,” Greene said.

A spokesperson for Regal Cinemas said the other scene was part of the wrong movie playing accidentally.

Although the movie company said the clip only played for less than two minutes, Greene said it seemed to last much longer.

“It seemed like forever when you’re trying to, you know, cover a little guy’s eyes,” she said. “I didn’t have enough hands to cover his ears too and he got the sound down real good.”

Like with many porno switcheroos, this one seems to bring up far more questions than it answers. Was it a cartoon porno in the style of “Steamboat Willie” that turned extra steamy, or did “Steamboat Willie” cut to a real human porno? If so: were they already cut together, and was it from the projectionist’s personal file of porno mashups? How does the grandmother know that the grandson “got the sound down real good”? Does she know for sure? EEEK! Why did it take two whole minutes to stop the porno from playing?!

The theater attempted to repay the debt of exposing children to the explicit scene, and maybe exposing one grandmother to hearing her grandson parrot back perfectly the noises of the explicit scene, with free passes to a future film. And the Porno Switcheroo Archive moves ever forward. (Via FilmDrunk.)
