Bee Queen Proves That There’s Something Out There For Everyone

To you, being covered in bees while performing a dance for the Internet might not sound like a nice way to spend your sunny afternoon. The loud buzzing of swarm ringing in your ears, the tiny furry bee bodies fluttering against your skin able to sting you at any moment, the song you recorded yourself (I assume and feel safe assuming) about bee dancing playing in the background of the video — you might hear these things and say, “No.” “Fucking no, of course not, are you serious? BEES? Bee dancing. Seriously? Bee dancing? DANCING WITH BEES?” And that is why you are not Sara (or this guy), who explains:

This is my second bee dance and I am planing a third. I think of this dance as a duet among many. The bees push with their powerful wings from each side of my body, I resist and then I let go and flow and move with them. It is a deep meditation and I feel the hive mind surround me, hold me, and expand my body on a cellular level. I am a healer, dancer, artist, builder of structures and bee keeper.

Uhhhhhhhhhh she actually makes this nightmare sound pretty good? I bet she’s calm, at least! Probably a lot calmer than we are! And that just proves that there is something out there for everyone, something that everyone can relish in and explain to you in a way that kind of makes it seem somewhat acceptable, even if it is being covered in bees and dancing to a bee song, and then later having dinner with bees (?). (BEES?!?)

“So…you sit in front of a computer all day and watch videos of other people actually doing things they want to be doing, and then you make fun of them? Oooooooook…” – Bee Queen. (Via UniqueDaily.)
