Today, Katherine Chloe Cahoon Teaches Us An Important Lesson

The first time we encountered Katherine Chloe Cahoon was in October of 2010, two and a half years ago. Since then, there have been dozens of videos and posts, as well as an interview conducted by Videogum monsters and she even contributed a recipe to the Unofficial Videogum Monsters Cookbook (!!!). At this point, she is literally FAMILY. And yet, with each new video we just kind of casually toss it off as her being crazy, which, OK, she is, but I think it’s time for us to all learn an important lesson from our old friend about perseverance and never giving up on your dreams, even when every single thing in the world is telling you that you should definitely give up on them. Ignore all those things, apparently! Keep going on and on forever, in increasingly complicated and confusing ways, says Katherine! I mean, seriously, at this point what is even going on with her? She posted a new video today that’s 14 minutes long, filmed from multiple angles, of her sitting on a fainting bench at what is almost 100% dolphinately her parents’ house, reading a frothy soft core short story about horny bloggers in college that sounds like it was taken directly from the cutting room floor of the Red Shoe Diaries, all of which is supposedly in response to her recent request for ideas to give to movie producers for the big screen adaptation of Katherine’s self-published book, The Single Girl’s Guide To European Men. What IS that? I’ll tell you what it is: THE SPIRIT OF A WINNER WHO NEVER QUITS. This is her gift to us. And her curse. To us.

See what I mean? I don’t know what this video is or who it is for, but it is definitely the work of a woman who will never say die. Katherine’s most recent videos are averaging about 1,500 views, which is actually kind of surprising that it is even that many, and yet that’s also not a big enough number to really warrant pretending like you are actually a famous person who has a wide audience base that cannot wait until you write 50 Shades of Blogs to turn into a movie based off of your dating tips (?!?!??!??!?!?!) but that’s the whole point, guys! DON’T LET THEM TELL YOU WHAT YOUR DREAM IS. That includes me. You go on, Katherine Chloe Cahoon, as if anything that I said would make any difference either way. Good luck out there, everybody. Make something happen. YOU GO GURLS. (Thanks for the tip, Ashleigh.)
