Black Eyed Pea Will.i.am is no stranger to taking to television to help inspire America’s youth and ingrain them with a completely false sense of what is OK to wear on your body and face and head, so it was really only a matter of time before he developed his own youth-inspiring reality talent show. Right? One that is like American Idol, only for young wizards. Uh-huh. We all saw it coming, and here it is! From Indiewire:
Questioning whether the reality TV singing contests have run their course, rapper, musician, songwriter, singer, entrepreneur, actor, DJ and producer Will.i.am is reportedly working on a new technology-themed talent show that “aims to be an American Idol for young wizards.”
Will wants to create a TV platform that will find young geniuses to develop new products and encourage more children to develop “STEM” (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) skills, suggesting that a TV show that sets out to highlight technology stars would have “a more lasting impact, potentially creating a new product and creating jobs.”
“Every year, companies like Google need more innovators, but there is no content celebrating them… The system thinks people are dumb and they don’t care. We have no desire to make them care. We need creative people working with broadcasters, making smart content to inspire people to be geniuses.”
Sounds like a fine idea. …FOR A NERD! Hahahaha. Gotcha, nerd-o! Gotch’d ya good. Anyway, I don’t know. What? Why does Will.i.am want to make this TV show? Is it true that currently the best way to inspire young kids to be smart is through a reality competition on TV created by a member of the Black Eyed Peas? MAYBE, I GUESS! Who knows! One thing I do know is that this TV show does not currently have a name. LET’S FIX THAT, LIKE THE YOUNG WIZARDS WE ARE!
- American Nerdol
- How 2B A Geniu$
- Young Wizards, But Not Like That
- The Dork Show For Dorks
- Who Wants To Be A Smart
- America’s Got Technology Ideas For Google
Weird how I kept thinking of ideas after I came up with American Nerdol, which was clearly the right answer. DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS?
