Glass Candy is one of the many musical groups that Johnny Jewel has a hand in. His latest project is the soundtrack to a new Ryan Gosling-directed film called Lost River, and so far he’s shared “love theme” “Yes” by the Chromatics and his ambient Johnny Jewel solo track “Bullytown.” Today we get “Shell Game,” a new song from Glass Candy, his project with Ida No. Wordless and ominous, it’s a swelling bit of darkness that glitters through a poisonous bass line. The track also features rhythms from another Glass Candy track “Redheads Feel More Pain” off the 2013 Italians Do It Better mix After Dark 2. I guess it’s okay to borrow from yourself, right?
