Drake Curating Music For Sotheby’s Art Exhibition

If Drake becomes the sort of rapper who brags about his Basquiat collection anytime soon, we’ll know that it started here. Refinery 29 reports that Sotheby’s has recruited Drizzy to curate the music for a new gallery show, one that’s running now. The exhibit is called “I Like It Like This,” and Refinery 29 says that it “explores the dialogue between music and black American art.” It includes pieces from Basquiat, Nick Cave, Rashid Johnson, Glenn Ligon, Kara Walker, and Kehinde Wiley, and the music Drake has chosen plays on speakers around the gallery. It’s open to the public right now on the second floor of Sotheby’s New York, in the Sl2 gallery.
