Drake will travel to Texas over Memorial day Weekend in order to instate his second annual “Houston Appreciation Weekend.” Drake loves the city of Houston because he owes a lot of his insurmountable fame to it; it’s the city where Lil’ Wayne first invited him to play and tour way back in 2008. Last year’s Appreciation Weekend included a Drake concert awash in cameos, as Wiz Khalifa, Big Sean, Travis $cott, Tinashe, OB Obrien, and PARTYNEXTDOOR joined the rapper onstage as he performed a 50-song set. This year’s event will include a charitable celebrity softball game to benefit the Houston Astros’ Urban Youth Academy. The game takes place on May 22, with a home-run derby beginning at 6PM, and you can purchase tickets for it here. The rest of the events are TBD.
