I explained the backstory of Adam Torres’ recently reissued Nostra Nova when we premiered “Dusty Wing Spirit,” one of the Texas-via-Ohio songwriter’s tenderest tracks. Today, with Torres about to launch a tour tonight in Cincinnati, we share a brand new video for the song by director Brian Wiebe. The clip finds Torres standing still amidst a sea of swirling women — one woman, actually, visions of whom he can’t seem to shake. There’s more than one Torres, too, and a deep wound that’s almost as haunting as the actors’ dead-eyed stares. Like the song itself, Wiebe’s treatment is stunningly simple and effective.
