When Kendrick Lamar played Sasquatch and Sweetlife last month, he made the frustrating decision to not do any To Pimp A Butterfly songs outside of “Alright,” but he course corrected during his Hot 97 Summer Jam set last night and kicked things off with “The Blacker The Berry,” performing it live for the first time. He also did “Hood Politics” and “King Kunta” in addition to “Alright,” which means his setlist was pretty evenly distributed between m.A.A.d city tracks and his newer stuff. During the show, he brought out ScHoolboy Q to do two of his own songs, and SZA joined him for “Bitch, Don’t Kill My Vibe.” The concert streamed on TIDAL, and while a bootleg of that livestream has been taken down, you can check out fan footage of “Kunta” below.

Setlist:
“The Blacker The Berry”
“Backseat Freestyle”

“Poetic Justice”
“Bitch, Don’t Kill My Vibe” (w/ SZA)
“m.A.A.d city”
