If you haven’t already watched Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment’s video for Surf’s debut single “Sunday Candy,” then you should do that right now. Chance The Rapper’s ode to his grandma is accompanied by what looks like a high school musical theater production, and Jamila Woods, who sings the insanely catchy chorus, co-stars. It’s worth watching for the astounding choreography alone, but now, you can check out a birds-eye view of the making of the video. Anyone who’s spent time doing theater tech work will appreciate this; watch below.
