Shut Up, Dude: This Week’s Best And Worst Comments

This week we revealed our 50 Best Albums Of 2015 So Far countdown. We considered any LP out between 1/1 and 6/30, which is why the list includes great LPs from Miguel and Vince Staples that aren’t out yet. You’ll hear them soon, though, and then you’ll understand why they made the cut. Of course SWISH may drop next week and mess everything up. Either way, it’s been an incredible half-year for music and picking just 50 was an arduous process. It was tough leaving out Kamasi Washington, UMO, High On Fire, Torres, Lower Dens, and others … things may pan our differently at year end. We’re not doing a Best Songs Of 2015 So Far list, though, so feel free to share your picks for that below.

After following the link to the story from last year, I realize that my comment is neither fresh nor witty. Please disregard it and have a terrific evening.

Oh my god, the fact that they’re playing “All Star” in the back makes this SO great. 2015 keeps delivering!

Hmm. Tough decision, but in the end I’m probably going to choose to not listen to 1989 on Spotify as opposed to not listening to it on Tidal or Apple Music.

These guys came to our town fair a few years ago. I stuck around to see how depressed I could get before I ran for the beer stand. A guy next to me described the lead singer as “a large tatooed ham.” He tried to bring some kids onstage but they all started crying.

But Sufjan’s album didn’t feature any rapping on it, and as we all know Rap > Music.

That or the rest of the Stereogum staff agree that Tom can be full of shit at times.

Wow I’ve never seen Romy before.. and she looks like a British teenage girl. And not the prettiest one.. but her voice is gorgeous, that’s what matters. It’s weird though she has that star voice, but does not look like a star

Im going to need 50 words (or more) from Annie on why she trashed that art before i can give a shit about this mixtape.

Shit album from a shit “artist”. Did not celebrate it when it came out, still not celebrating it now.

There were plenty of AMAZING women artists in the ’90s. It’s shameful that Alanis Morissette is the one that got the biggest spotlight.

A kid reading this in 2050 won’t understand a single word of that sentence. Not even “snow”.
