Clean and clear dueling guitars are really working for South London band Nolita View, who sound like a half-speed version of the Kooks with a little more ’90s alt-rock influence on new track “Departed.” The four-piece are evidently influenced by the ’90s in more ways than one, as their Twitter avatar is Rufio, the leader of the Lost Boys in the 1991 film Hook. There’s just something about a British accent that makes Will Jacks’ voice go from Modest Mouse-impersonator to something bigger and better. Listen.
