The first time you muster up the guts to sing karaoke can be a transformative experience. Singing in front of people is hard, regardless of whether or not you’re good at it, and for cripplingly shy people, karaoke is a waking nightmare. In order to sing karaoke well, you’ve got to be fearless and totally un-phased if no one in the surrounding crowd is impressed.
