When he wants to be, Baton Rouge’s Kevin Gates is one of the best rappers in the world. And while Gates’ new single “Tomorrow” isn’t necessarily his best, we do hear flashes of that in there. It’s a hard-as-fuck street song that’s delivered entirely in a sweetly bluesy singsong, and that’s not exactly the sort of thing that many people can pull off. It follows Gates’ recent single “Kno One” and his EP-length Murder For Hire mixtape. Listen to the song below, via Nah Right.

I really hope this means another Gates mixtape — or, who knows, maybe an album — is on the way.
