Method Man has a son named Raekwon, which is about the most adorable statement of crew unity I’ve ever heard. And as Pitchfork reports, both that Raekwon and the original Raekwon, Meth’s Wu-Tang crewmate, show up on a new track called “The Purple Tape,” which will appear on Meth’s new album The Meth Lab. The song pays tribute to Rae’s classic album Only Built 4 Cuban Linx, which just celebrated its 20th anniversary, and it also features fellow Wu-Tang member Inspactah Deck. It follows the Meth Lab tracks “88 Coupes” and “Straight Gutta,” and you can hear it below.

The Meth Lab is out 8/21 on Hanz On/Tommy Boy. Also, Meth is at least the third or fourth Wu-Tang member to put his rapping son on a track. We need a full Wu-Tang Junior splinter cell.
