M.I.A. Is Working With Skrillex
M.I.A. has lately been working on a new album called Matahdatah, and she shared her “Broader Than A Border” video and talked a bit about the album earlier this summer. Now, thanks to a picture that she threw up on Instagram, we can now anticipate how she might sound over some thunderous bass-farts. M.I.A., it would seem, is in the lab with dubstep kingpin Skrillex, which should be interesting. The two might not be on good terms now, but M.I.A. did some of her best work with Skrillex’s Jack Ü partner Diplo. Maybe she and Skrillex can capture some of that magic on the new album. From the looks of M.I.A.’s Instagram, she’s also working with past collaborator and Baltimore club veteran Blaqstarr.
