After a bunch of projects under different names over the years, New Jersey producer Dan Casey seems to have settled on the moniker dd elle, at least for now. He’s been putting out gentle electronic tunes under the name for over a year now, and he’s gearing up to release his debut EP: u will be out at the end of the month, and it’ll feature the previously released “kind 2 u,” and new track “unrequited.” It’s yet another pocket-sized tune — Casey loves to make his voice sound small and, because the the music behind him is little more than pings and fleeting notes, it makes him feel massive and grand even though he rarely rises above a whisper.
