Watch The Dead Weather Debut “Mile Markers” In Latest Technique Tutorial

The entirety of the Dead Weather’s first new album in five years, Dodge And Burn is great. I know that because I went and listened to the whole thing straight through, with no phones allowed, on a great sound system. But if you don’t get that same opportunity, the record still sounds larger than life, sky-high raging rock and roll. It’s classic in that sense, and comforting. It sounds like the Dead Weather. No frills, no weird new changes, no surprises. The record comes out in just a few days — a week from Friday — and they’ve already released “Cop And Go” and “I Feel Love (Every Million Miles).” Jack White also previously explained his drumming technique in a bleary black-and-white video. Today, they’ve combined two elements into one: debuting “Mile Markers” via another technique video, in which bassist Jack Lawrence discusses his own style. Watch below via Mojo.

Dodge And Burn is out 9/25 on Third Man. Pre-order it here.
