Blanck Mass is the moniker for Fuck Buttons member Benjamin John Power, who creates his own immersive, high-stakes instrumental music but with a stronger grasp on electronics. He signed to Sacred Bones earlier this year and released his second full-length Dumb Flesh in May. Today, he’s dropped a follow-up EP that’s available digitally right now. It’s one 33-minute track split into three parts titled The Great Confuso, and judging from the first part, it’s jam-packed with a similar make up of molecular, space-age electronic sounds. “The Great Confuso Pt. 1″ moves patiently and spreads its legs more than previous tracks like “Dead Format,” but grips with an equal level of intensity.
