Bullion writes bouncy synth pop with a playful eye. His last EP, Rooster, weaved cheeky samples into high-fructose electronica. He’s similarly peppy on “Loop The Loop,” the first single (and title track) from his forthcoming album. It’s as innovative and energetic as ever, but more suave and focused. Much of that’s because of the added vocals from Sampha, a South London R&B singer who’s worked with SBTRKT and Drake, among others. His gliding voice brings a distinct groove to the song’s colorized, hyper-digital arrangements, and really brings it all together. Listen below.
