Pickathon 2016 Lineup

Pickathon 2016 Lineup

The forces behind Pickathon, the generally-beloved Oregon rock-and-folk-centric festival, announced the lineup for next year’s festival at a free Portland party last night. The festival will come to Happy Valley, Oregon this 8/5-7, and it’ll feature Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy, alongside Yo La Tengo and Beach House, as headliners. The festival will also feature Ty Segall & The Muggers, Black Mountain, Thee Oh Sees, Ibeyi, Dan Deacon, Julia Holter, BADBADNOTGOOD, Alvvays, Protomartyr, La Luz, Mount Moriah, Moon Duo, Palehound, and many others, with more acts still to be announced. The bands at Pickathon play deep in the woods, on wooden stages, and it seems like a very cool scene. By way of announcing the festival, the Pickathon organizers have also shared a video of DIIV playing “Yr Not Far” and “Dopamine,” two songs from their forthcoming album Is The Is Are, at last year’s Pickathon. Below, watch that video and check out the full lineup as it stands right now.
