Sting & Peter Gabriel Announce Joint North American Tour

Sting and Peter Gabriel are two of the old gods of ambitious, searching, prog-inclined ’80s pop. The two English gentlemen toured together in the late ’80s for Amnesty International, and they’re about to hit the road together again this summer, playing some of North America’s finest hockey arenas on what they’re calling the Rock Paper Scissors tour. The two will sing a lot of duets on the tour, and they say that they’re planning to play the hits. They also say that the main point of the tour is to have fun, which is nice. In a video promoting the show, we see the two of them talking about how much they like each other and rehearsing a bit of Gabriel’s “Shock The Monkey” at Gabriel’s own Real World studio. Below, watch that video and check out the tour dates.
