Greta Kline, the daughter of ’80s-vintage movie stars Kevin Kline and Phoebe Cates, makes awesomely slapdash lo-fi indie-pop under the name Frankie Cosmos. Zentropy, her last proper album, came out in 2014, and she’s kept up a steady stream of new music since then, releasing the EP Fit Me In just a couple of months ago. Now, Pitchfork reports that she’ll release a new album called Next Thing this spring. Its first single is “Sinister,” a sparkly, bouncing jam that sounds very much like something that would’ve come out on K Records in the early ’90s. Check it out below.
Next Thing is out 4/1 on Bayonet.
