Florence Welch has always had some serious ’70s California free-spirit vibes about her, and this past weekend, she took on a song from the gods of that world. Surrounding last Friday’s Brit Awards, a number of artists played benefits for War Child, a UK charity that helps people experiencing the aftermath of armed conflict, around London. Florence + The Machine played theirs at London’s St. John At Hackney church. And during the show, Welch sang the heartsick ballad “Silver Springs,” one of the Stevie Nicks songs from Rumours. Welch’s version was stripped-back and expertly sun, building to a raging climax. Check out a fan-made video below.

Welch is a brave lady for singing that song and also for wearing that dress. If Ren-Faire fashions come back in 2016, maybe she’ll have something to do with it.
