Last year, shortly after releasing his VEGA INTL. Night School album, Neon Indian shared one of the year’s best music videos, the ’80s-B-movie-looking “Slumlord Rising.” Today, he’s got a new one for the percolating “Techno Clique.” This one is pretty memorable, too. It’s got that same smeary, grainy ’80s aesthetic, and it takes place in a seedy, provincial nightclub where people can’t stop dancing, even as they go through near-death experiences and go into hallucinatory states. TV Carnage creator Derrick Beckles directed the video, and you can watch it below.
VEGA INTL. Night School is out now via Mom + Pop/Transgressive.
